Feb. 4 (Thu.) New area name "Obata" (the highest 0.9C /the lowest -9.4C /weather - cloudy)

The name of an area will be decided where is the south area from the west of the Tendo station which development proceeds. When an inhabitant questionnaire was enforced, many inhabitants want a present name "Obata". Zones to old Route 13 from the south side of Tendo hospital called the Minami-Obata become "Minami-Obata, Tendo-aza, Tendo-shi" and "Sengari, Kitame-aza, Tendo-shi".

If it is adopted in the municipal assembly, a new name seems to be used in this November.

Feb. 3 (Wed.) Stop combine? (Kaminoyama) (the highest -1.0C /the lowest -5.5C /weather - snow)

In Kaminoyama city, they have a mayoral election on Feb 14. Previous mayor was very positive toward 3 cities and 2 towns of wide area mergers including Yamagata City and Tendo City. But he was died suddenly at the end of last year.

There are 2 candidates this mayoral election. But also 2 candidates doesn't show the positive attitude about the joint problem. Because almost citizens wasn't interested in the joint problem though a previous mayor was pushing a merger actively. At any rate, it seems to brake the joint promotion because they doesn't point the joint problem.

Feb. 2 (Tue.) Exhibition reading impression pictures (the highest 2.4C /the lowest -3.7C /weather - snow)

In the Tendo city library, they hold the "Reading impression picture exhibition" by the junior high school students.

They hold a competition to develop children's various ability by drawing pictures of reading impression, not description of the reading impressions.

It is pretty difficult to draw pictures of impression at that time. But children can express a feeling at that time frankly. So the exhibition of reading imression picture may be the event which is suitable for the child.

Feb. 1 (Mon.) 1st prize, Ms.FUJIMA (the highest 4.6C /the lowest -1.5C /weather - rain)

Ms.Inui FUJIMA got the the prize at the competition between the Japanese dancing Family.

It was 3 times for her. Dancer got the prize 3 times, she is the 1st dancer in Yamagata prefecture and 3rd dancer in Tohoku area in Japan. She acquired the qualification danced in the national theater.

Ms.Inui FUJIMA participates in the competition from the 2nd year of Heisei(1990), and she was awarded a prize in the 5th year of Heisei(1993) and the 9th year of Heisei(1997). And the encouragement prize of the 6 times in total is awarded to her in the year except for it.

They hold an awarding ceremony at the national theater in Feb. 15(Monday).
