Feb. 20 (Fri.) Mr.HABU won the game

There was the professional game of japanese chess "47th Oushou" on February 18 and 19.
At 7:56 p.m. Mr. Yoshiharu HABU won the title at the 177th turn.
You can get the infomation about it ... Japanese chess assosiation.
He has visited to Tendo many times and has come for the Human Japanese chess game in 1991.
At "the Human Japanese Chess Game" of this year, Mr. Hifumi KATO, Ms. Haruko SAITA and many famous japanese chess players will come.
Feb. 18 (Wed.) Cherry on June 1

There are many fields which tourists can pick up fruits in Tendo.
They decide that they have a ceremony on June 1 to open that kind of fields.
There are many kinds of cherries.
About the beginning of June, the cherry is a little sour maybe.
But it is the best season to go that kind of fields because few tourist go to pick up cherries.
We have cherries from the beginning of June to the middle of July.
And next we have plume, grape, peach, La France (a kind of pear) and apple.
Feb. 17 (Tue.) Welcome! Mr.HABU and Mr.SATOH

Today we have much snow even though we had warm days in a few days.
But tomorrow they have a game for the professional title of Japanese chess game "Oushyou-sen" at the hotel "Beni no Syou".
Mr. Yoshiharu HABU with 4 professional titles and Mr.Yasumitsu SATOH with 8th grade come to Tendo.
I am afraid that they are surprised at much snow.
They have the game at February 18 and 19.

At the Olympic Games, Japanese athletes of ski jamping are very wonderful !
Perhaps it is fine because of their jamps.
It is very helpful to dig snow today.
In front of the door, the snow still stays because it was the North.
Even if it was warm, it gets cold at night and becomes icy.
Next morning we have to performe ice show !!
I fight the ice to use pickax.
Feb. 14 (Sat.) Another World ...

In Yonezawa, there is the event "Uesugi Yuki Dourou Matsuri" (the festival of snow lantern).
I have never seen of it, so I go to Yonezawa, which is the South of Yamagata Prefecture.
I am surprised that the snow still stays over 150cm (5feets) both sides of the roads.
It looks like "Half-Pipe" used the sport Snow Board.
They say that there is less snow in Tendo all over the Yamagata Prefecture.
I think that I am in the another world ... (^^;
But they needs much snow like it to have the snow festival.
